| Day Job: Consultant on Infinium and Showcase SoftwareMild mannered Clark Kent has nothing on me...A frustrated accountant (CPA) by day I am a man who has a love of computers with a knack for getting them to do all kinds of things even when they don't want to . No I am not a programmer ( I can read and do minimum RPG programming) but an application specialist ... which is a cool way of saying that I design and apply computer programs to business processes. In my previous employment I wore many IS hats in the finance area. I was the project manager for the installation of the financial management system at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron in Akron Ohio. This system included general ledger, payroll, flexible benefits, materials management (purchasing, receiving, inventory, cart management, EDI, and accounts payable), fixed assets ,and query 2000. this was all done on the IBM AS400 using Infinium 2000. Other projects included optical imaging , interactive voice response , and web page development for the hospital intranet. BTW I have learned enough HTML (and I am working on Java, and Pearl) to become serious about the internet its application and development. I was also the PC trouble shooter and usually took the first shot at fixing troubled machines.
