FORMAT

The tournament will be conducted with standard tournament format modified for the number of teams in a division. In round-robin play, teams will earn 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss, 1 bonus point for scoring 5 or more goals AFTER the raw score is adjusted for the 4-goal margin limit. The advancement tiebreakers are head to head, goal differential (maximum 4), goals scored, goals allowed, and if still tied, a PK contest.

The tournament will use FIFA rules of play and standard modifications for youth in all the youth divisions U19 through U12. Unlimited substitution is permitted in the older divisions. In U11 and younger divisions, the tournament will use USYSA modified rules with 7 field players and a goalkeeper (8v8) on smaller fields with smaller goals. The U8 division will also play with 7 field players and a goalkeeper on very small fields using flying substitutions when they wish.

In U10 and younger divisions, per Ohio Youth Soccer North and USYSA rule guidelines, the tournament will be conducted in “festival” formal with each team playing four games...two on Saturday and two more on Sunday. There will be awards for every player in the U10 and younger age groups in this format.

TEAM AND PLAYER ELIGIBILITY

Youth teams properly registered with their state associations and/or USSF affiliates are eligible. All players must have a player pass and/or other acceptable proof of age. Youth rosters are limited to 18 for U19 through U11 and limited to 14 for U10 and younger. A roster of 10-12 players would be perfect for the U8 division.
